Hungry for Breakfast?  Mary Kay’s Country Diner is now serving Breakfast 7 days a week 6 - 9am.  Your breakfast is cooked to order and the endless cup of coffee is only 50¢ . Saturday - Thursday 11am - 2pm and Friday 11am - 9pm. Friday night we have All You Can Eat fried Catfish and 8oz Ribeye specials. Jackson Receives Athletic Scholarship

Texas A&M University-Commerce head football coach Guy Morris and the Lions coaching staff announced on Wednesday their list of 2010 recruits.  Hemphill resident, Brandon Jackson, was among those recruits as he signed a letter of intent to attend the university on a football scholarship.  Recruited as a defensive back, Brandon is planning to major in Kinesiology.  He currently attends A. Maceo Smith High School in Dallas, TX.

He attended Hemphill schools from kindergarten until he transferred in his sophomore year.  While in Hemphill, Brandon played football for the Hemphill Hornets.  He also participated in cross country, track and basketball athletics.  Brandon is the son of Bradley Jackson, Lawandra and Will Smith Jr.  Grandparents Linda Smith, Jessie Bowden and Will Smith Sr.; Brother and sister: Terrance and Diana Smith.  All are very proud.
