Hungry for Breakfast?  Mary Kay’s Country Diner is now serving Breakfast 7 days a week 6 - 9am.  Your breakfast is cooked to order and the endless cup of coffee is only 50¢ . Saturday - Thursday 11am - 2pm and Friday 11am - 9pm. Friday night we have All You Can Eat fried Catfish and 8oz Ribeye specials. Our home cooked meal on the steam table is open Sunday - Friday 11am - 2pm and menu items are always available. Come see us at 806 Hwy 96N in San Augustine.

Local Business is the Lifeline to our County

The need to support local business and revitalize are historic County

 IS OUR AGENDA THIS YEAR.

Supporting our local business is in need now, more than ever, it’s called a  

Ten % Shift

Ten % shift will start the process of revitalizing our County and communities.

If a household shifts 10% of their purchase to local independent businesses, our community economics will be invigorated.  Communities with a good solid economic foundation are less dependent on outside help.  The economic recession has hit local families hard and businesses hard.  While we all look to Washington for answers, it’s important that we can insure our growth and stability here at home.

The reason to start reminding us all to start the 10% shift is to build and maintain a strong business core, which brings a healthy businesses environment, which results in more jobs, better wages and more business, which gives more choices.  If we can get more people and or local leaders to take up the buy local, our local economy will rejuvenate, and we will be prepared to weather future downturns in the economy.
