Government Code Section 111.007, on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, Sabine County Courthouse, a public
hearing will be held on the proposed Sabine County budget for fiscal
year ending December 31, 2011, as prepared by the County Judge. Any
taxpayer or citizen shall have the right to be present and participate
in said hearing. At the conclusion of the hearing, the proposed budget
shall be considered and acted upon by the Commissioners’ Court.
This budget will raise
more total property taxes than last year’s budget by 5.07%, and of that
amount, $42,689.85 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added
to the tax roll this year.

Assessor/Collector, Sheriff, Precinct #2 Commissioner, Precinct #3
Commissioner, and Precinct #4 Commissioner - $32,600.00. Precinct #1 and
#2 Constables - $20,700.00 and Precinct #1 Commissioner - $32,000.
The proposed salaries of
the elected officials include an increase of $25 per month.
